History

Our history developed along side the most important and influential hair revolution, even today. At the end of the 60's and into the early 70's a new era of hair-design and styling was on the rise.  This new movement would leave behind bouffants, roller-sets and soon to be gone were the days of big, teased hair. This revolution came to surface with the introduction of modern, sleek and precise styles developed by Vidal Sassoon.

By the mid 70's Sassoon's method captivated the UK and began to touch North America. It was at that time that Scissors was inaugurated and since then it has played and integral role in the beauty industry of Ottawa, and continues to be influential in setting hair trends and techniques. In the recent years, with the addition of business partners and a talented team, Scissors has grown to become one of the most recognized salons in the Nation's capital today.  By the millennium, our city was in the midst of enormous growth and in 2001 a sister location was introduced in Kanata to meet the demand and the need for an esteemed and fashion savvy hair salon.
