The SPAO facility, located in the Byward Market at 168 Dalhousie Street at the corner of Bruyère, is a unique and comfortable space, laid out in the traditional "New York School" studio style. It features a multi-format darkroom, a state-of-the-art ink jet printing facility, industry standard lighting and support equipment in a daylight studio, and the Red Wall Gallery.
All instructors teaching at SPAO are working artists or professionals that instruct specifically from their personal knowledge base, with a generosity and personal attention exclusive to the SPAO atmosphere.
The part time classes and workshops offered at SPAO are geared to various levels of experience (basic, intermediate and master) and class sizes are small to assure personal attention. Seasonal calendars are available at SPAO or on-line at www.spao.ca.
