Parisien used to work in manufacturing business and has been involved in the fashion industry since 1987. She has worked in both Montreal and Ottawa. All the designs at her store – which mostly include jackets of finest quality – are part of Paris L’Or label. She says that she tries to attract both trend-lovers and people with a more conventional style. “I work with lamb skin, because it is soft and looks extremely attractive,” she says. “When the customers come in, I let them choose the colours they’d like from a special catalogue. They describe what length they’d prefer and why they need the jacket – be it for work, leisure, or travel. They can either choose a jacket from the store, or make their own order. You can pick the lining, the collar size, the buttons, and so on. Many of the designs are, therefore, custom-made. Other styles displayed at Paris L’Or are made from leather and suede. “Fashion matter,” says Parisien. “However, it is vital to pay attention to what suits you personally.
