Art Exhibit

RED WALL GALLERY presents LINEAGE - SOLO SERIES 2010 Artist: Magida El-Kassis Date: March 5th - March 16th, 2010 Vernissage: Friday March 5th, 2010, 17:00 - 20:00 Viewing Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:00-18:00, Saturday, 10:00-15:00, Sundays and late evenings by appointment or by chance. An exhibition of a photographic typology documenting people of "pure bred" ethnicity in order to preserve the lineage and identity of humankind. El-Kassis explores a personal perspective into the definition of lineage through these images. She envisions these photographs serving as proof for future generations of the existence of pure indigenous ethnic groups. As populations become more integrated, an aspect of identity becomes unrecognizable, so she has begun this typology in order to help preserve the ancestry and identity of humankind. Red Wall Gallery at SPAO 168 Dalhousie For more info contact: 613.562.3824 info@spao.ca
