Not yet Legal is an interpretation of the world through the eyes of a younger generation. We’ve taken this opportunity to express our thoughts that are not always heard or taken seriously. Since we are the future of society, our opinions and criticisms on the world will have a huge impact on what the world we live in will become.

Vince Beauchemin starts a dialogue with this new series and leaves the viewer to complete the circle of conversation. Through looking and feeling the emotions that he has subtly and sometimes outrightly invested in his works, the viewer layers new meaning accordingly, giving an exponential amount of variation for each work that Beauchemin paints.- Christina Anastassopoulos, 2011

The verb “to cut” has, by definition, a number of meanings and several words come to mind. When cutting involves people I think about snipping, removing, circumcising, severing, detaching, altering, and wounding. When cutting involves paper, I think about snipping, removing, forming, altering, interrupting, shaping, and reducing. The works by these four artists bring to mind the word uncanny, in that they unveil both the familiar and unfamiliar and explore the paradoxical nature of drawing the viewer into the beauty of the work while simultaneously giving the viewer a jolt once they examine the work more clearly. The artists have built up the images from drawings and photographs mainly with collage and ink. They have cut, manipulated, and altered the images to reveal certain inconsistencies of history and of pop culture.

Over the past twenty years Mark Vlossak of St. Innocent Winery has become one of the preeminent ambassadors of the Oregon Wine Industry and one of America's most influential Winemakers. The winery was founded in 1988 by Mark, the current winemaker and president. He produces small lot, handmade wines that consistently garner the highest accolades in Oregon: 90+ on the entire '08 and '09 vintages currently reviewed by Jay Miller of The Wine Advocate. While Pinot Noir is the focus of St. Innocent, Mark annually produces some of Oregon's most expressive white wines.

He was trained at the National School of Plastic Arts in Mexico and studied further in Poland and France. He has had solo exhibitions in Poland, Mexico, and Canada, and has exhibited his work in group shows in Poland and Mexico as well as in Canada, Cuba, Norway, Japan, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, and the Czech Republic, and he received an award at the First International Print Triennale ULUS 2011, in Belgrade, Serbia.

USER was always conceived as a multiyear project. A series of portfolios that, though shot on just one 30 meter strip of sidewalk and using portraiture only, aimed to explore the face and the feel of the addicts who congregate there. The latest (and last) work from this project, USER 2010, is a series of images, shot simply, in natural light, almost snapshots. Echoes of all the previous shooting I have done on the corner, about faces and relationships. A summation.

Life at the edge of the forest is rarely idyllic. In the space where the wetlands meet the deep, dark wood, a thousand little soap operas occur. A bear cub ventures out of the bush only to be confronted by two snarling dogs. A weasel raids a duck's nest while two herons fly overhead, themselves looking for a place to eat. It is not only survival of the fittest … attention to detail, and a certain amount of luck, is involved too. As a year-round inhabitant, the fox bears witness to the struggles and successes of those that live, and die, in a space that embodies both luxury and desolation. The works in this exhibition are some of the things that the fox saw.
