Free Concerts for Bluesfest in the ByWard
Free Concerts for Bluesfest in the ByWard
The ByWard Market is thrilled to welcome back Bluesfest! The PopLife stage on York St. will host free concerts this year from July 8 – July 13. This ByWard Market stage is sponsored by the National Gallery of Canada’s new Pop Life exhibit, featuring works from Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, and many more. Why not spend a morning at the National Gallery and visit the shops and restaurants on Sussex Dr.? You can finish up your day by taking in a free concert on York St and then grabbing a cold drink in a ByWard Market pub. Headliners at the free stage include Stereos, Wintersleep, Tokyo Police Club, Doc Walker, City and Colour, and Taj Mahal. The free concerts begin each evening at 6 pm. On Monday, July 12, the ByWard Market will be the host of the ONLY Bluesfest programming. Come to the ByWard Market to see JW-Jones, Jason Collett, and City and Colour. All ByWard Market Bluesfest shows are free! For more information about the lineup, please visit www.ottawabluesfest.ca. Reminder: All businesses on Sussex Dr. will remain open throughout the construction, and there are great sales!
