Applications for the new funding opportunity from Ottawa Tourism in support of the ByWard Market’s 200th anniversary in 2027 are now OPEN!

Ottawa Tourism has launched the ByWard Market 200th Tourism Animation Fund to support tourism businesses and organizations in developing high-quality, visitor-focused experiences that will contribute to the vibrancy of the district throughout its bicentennial year.

Funding Opportunity Details:

  • What: ByWard Market 200th Tourism Animation Fund

  • Who: Eligible tourism businesses and organizations

  • When: Projects must take place between January 1 and December 31, 2027

  • More Information: Destination Development funding programs

  • Application deadline: November 3, 2026

Eligible projects may include immersive experiences, live performances, culinary programming, cultural tourism experiences, projection mapping and other visitor-focused activations.
